  1. Dear Mrs.Ranney and Class,

I loved the Wildlife Experience! It is so cool how they do that; rescue animals, train them, etc. I really enjoyed petting the Tiger Salamander. It has that wet, silky, smooth, scaly feeling, even though it has no scales. I also really loved the opossum. One interesting fact about the opossum is that it can fit 13 joeys in its pouch. It was really amazing having the experience with the Wildlife Experience. I can't wait for all the times that Ms.C. is going to come in our classroom.

    Truly yours,

    Colin

  2. Dear Mrs.Ranney and Class,

It is so exciting to have real live animals come into the classroom! I am happily waiting for school tomorrow to come but still I liked today better than yesterday. A Fennec Fox is one of my favorite animals. Almost all of my favorite animals are from Africa. I also really liked the python. It was very exciting getting to pet the python, when Mrs. C. carried the python around the room so that everyone who wanted to touch the python can. I would feel kind of strange if I was carried around the room by a giant with all these kids touching my skin.

    Animally yours,

    Colin

  3. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Class,

I really enjoyed the Wildlife Experience. My favorite domestic animal is a dog and my favorite wild animal is a cheetah. Did you know cheetahs are the one of the fastest animals on Earth? My favorite animal from the Wildlife Experience was Python, the python. It really made me laugh when he stuck out his tongue.
I really enjoyed the Wildlife Experience.

  4. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Class,

I enjoyed my wildlife experience because I got to see some rare and amazing creatures. My favorite animal was Moose, the Fennec Fox, because he has the biggest ears I have ever seen on such a small animal. His little moaning sounds were so adorable. It would be joyful to have Moose as a pet because he would be easy to hold and take care of. Also, we both love fruit and hot weather. Most fennec foxes live in the Sahara desert in North Africa, but they can be household pets. I can’t believe that they like eating scorpions and that they can live up to 14 years! Moose reminded me of a Chihuahua, except with bigger ears. If I had him as a pet, he would be protected from his main predator, the eagle owl. My Wildlife Experience was awesome, mostly because of Moose.

    Sincerely,
    Ayden

  5. Hi Mrs. Ranney and Class,

I really enjoyed the Fennec Fox, Moose, for several reasons. One of the reasons was because he was so cute and I appreciated learning about his adaptations. My favorite adaptation was his big ears that help him hear predators from far away. This way he can avoid being eaten. He also uses his ears to cool himself down when he is really hot. Living in the desert, this seems like a great adaptation to have. Another useful adaptation is the fur on his paws so he can run across the hot sand without burning himself. I wish that I could have fur on my feet so I could run across the hot sands at the beach and not get burned. The Fennec Fox is well suited for living in a desert environment. I was wondering, what animal did you enjoy learning the most about and why? I am also curious to see what Mrs. C. will bring in next? I am hoping to see a baby koala or a baby pig because they both seem like entertaining animals to learn about.

  6. Dear Mrs. Ranney and class,
The animals we saw so far were really intriguing! I loved the python. It was really interesting to see and touch. I think that skull b is a bobcat’s skull, skull c was a snapping turtle’s skull, and skull d was a grey fox’s skull. Am I right? I hope I am! I wonder what name they will give the python. I was thinking a name for the python. I think its name should be Pie the python. I wonder what animals they will bring next time. I hope they will bring a baby lion. That would be really fantastic to see.

    Yours Truly,
    Noah

  7. Dear Mrs. Ranney and class,

I really enjoyed the wildlife experience I had in class this week. I got to learn about and see many different animals. I also saw a Snapping Turtle, skull C and a Porcupine, skull A too. I really liked Moose, the Fennec Fox because it was cute and furry. Because the Fennec Fox had fur on its paws, the fur helped protect it from the hot sand it walks on. My favorite animal of all was Awesome, the Opossum. It had a long and funny snout. What is your favorite animal?

    Cheers, Molly

  8. Dear Mrs Ranney and class,

I would like to comment on the skulls in class about which one is which.
    Skull A was a porcupine
    Skull B was a bobcat
Skull C was a snapping turtle
    Skull D was a fox.

My favorite animal that was shown was the fennec fox. Fennec foxes have furs under their paws so they are able to walk on the hot sand. Did you know that dogs do not have fur under their paws so they cannot do that? I find snakes fascinating because they lots of abilities to catch their pray. Like sneaking up on them, blending into their surroundings then catching their pray. Snakes also have to watch out for predators. I wonder which animals the Wild Life Experience will bring next to class. I will miss you Mrs. Ranney and everyone in class when school ends.

    Cheers,

    Bella

  9. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Class,

I thoroughly enjoyed having the animals encounters this week. My favorite animal was the fennec fox. I also enjoyed the skunk, salamander and the python.

Animals adaptions were interesting to learn about. I was surprised to learn that the salamander has tiny holes in it's skin that it stores oxygen in so it can travel underwater and breathe.

I am looking forward to more encounters on Monday!

    Cheers,
    Lucas

  10. Dear Mrs.Ranney and Class,

It is so exciting that real life animals come to meet us in our classroom! I am so electrifying I just want to skip today and wake up tomorrow seeing new animals! I really loved all the animals but the Fennec Fox and the Oppossum are my favorites! I also liked the salamander. It was really exciting for me to pet a salamander although it was smooth, wet, and dirty! I would be anxious to be carried around the room and have strangers I don't know touch me! Did you know the smallest salamander in the world is called the seepage salamander and is 1-2 inches long! Whats the smallest snake in the world? Do you know? See you tomorrow!

  11. Mrs. Ranney and class,

My favorite animal is Moose the Fennec Fox because it's furry and cute. One of the adaptations is that its ears are large so when it is hot its veins take the hot air and makes it cold. Another way the ears help is when a predator comes close the fox, it can hear the predator coming and can run away. One more adaptation is that the Fennec Fox has fur on its paws that helps it walk on the hot sand. What animal adaptations are your favorite?

    Your friend, Michelle

  12. Dear Mrs.Ranney and class,

I think that the Fennec Fox is very cute! Now I want a Fennec Fox! I really think it is funny that fox's name is Moose. The snake felt like rubber and a basketball. My favorite kind of fantasy animal is a unicorn! I am excitingly waiting for Mrs.C to come to our class tomorrow! I can't wait to see what animals she will bring for us to see tomorrow! What is your favorite animal?

    Cheers, Lexi

  13. Dear Mrs. Ranney

My favorite animal is the Fennec Fox. He is very cute! I think it is funny for a Fennec Fox to be named Moose. I think that Skull A was a porcupine, Skull B was a bobcat, Skull C was a snapping turtle, and Skull D was a gray fox. I also like Awesome the Opossum.
