  1. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Class,

Wow, what an extraordinary selection of crazy hats you wore last Friday. It looks like they really helped you focus on your Friday tests!

I loved all the hats and was so impressed by your creativity and fun spirit.

I helped Alex make his crazy hat. We started with a pirate hat. First, Alex added yarn and puff balls on the top to make a face. Next, we added long hair in the back and bangs in the front. It took a long time to cut and staple on all that hair! I call it a "hippie pirate" hat!

Did you make or buy your crazy hat?

    Best regards,

    Suzanne (Alex's Mom)

    1. Dear Alex's Mom,

I bought and made my hat! I took two hats and a pair of ears and put them together to make my lucky hat.

      Sincerely,
      Jules

  2. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Class,

I was so impressed with the diversity of all of your hats! All of you looked fabulous, especially Mrs. Ranney, and Mrs. Yollis. The activity was a fun way for the kids to express themselves. I also loved watching the video of the kids in their hats!

    Cheers,

    Andrea (Charlotte's mom)

  4. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

My favorite part of lucky hat day was that we got to wear our lucky hats. I really liked Jules's hat because her hat had two more hats on top. My hat was a cowboy hat. I got it when I was in Boys Scouts. Where did you get your hat?

    Sincerely,
    Matthew

  6. Dear Mrs. Ranney

My lucky hat was lucky beacause I had lost it three times before Lucky Hat Day, so I thought it was appropriate. I thought Jules hat was the best hat beacause it was 3 hats in one. Lucky Hat Day was a good way to start the year.

    From,
    Jackson

  7. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

I loved my hat and every one else's. My hat was heaviest in the class.
I loved that everybody participated in the class.
Probably the best lucky hat day ever, even though there's no other lucky hat day.
But, there is crazy hat day!

    Cheers,
    Jules
