Join World Maths Day!

March 1, 2011 is World Maths Day!

It is a fantastic Internet project for students.
Mrs. Ranney's class participated last year and really enjoyed the experience!

All students were given a Username and Password today, so they can start preparing for March 1.

Good luck!
Let us know which countries you have played against!

  1. Dear Mrs. Ranney,
I went on World Maths Day, and I won first place! I played against Dariana C. in Canada, Jake B. from Caymans Island, and Isabella G. from Colombia.

Dariana C. is from Earl School, Jake B. is from Cayman Prep High School, and Isabella G. is from The Columbus School ES.

    I have a question...

Have you ever played against someone at our school or someone who is at a other school that you know?

    Warmly,
    Grace :)

  6. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

I just got to the blog from World Maths Day!

I played against someone from Ecuador and someone from Australia. I came in second place! I don't remember who was in first place.

Playing World Maths Day was fun yet challenging. The fun part was playing against other people. The challenging part was that the questions went by very fast.

    Your student,
    Ella

  15. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

I really enjoyed doing World Maths Day! I think that I liked doing multiplication most. I also did addition.

It was fun to read about who you were playing with. When we were in the computer lab, I happened to play against Gal once.

Another feature I liked about Wold Maths Day was that they told you the school and what country the the person lived in.

Those are some of the reasons why I enjoyed Wold Maths Day so much!

    Warmly,
    Carly:)
