This week we had a wonderful time preparing for
Thanksgiving!
One way we did that was by measuring and
mixing up the ingredients
for our own loaf of pumpkin bread!

In addition to making our special pumpkin bread gifts to share, we have been busy with a cornucopia of
other Thanksgiving projects!
We wrote paragraphs about the people and things
for which we are thankful.
We wrote paragraphs about our Thanksgiving feasts and hid them inside a beautifully colored cornucopia!
Finally, we created a very unique book report called
"How Do You Dress a Turkey?"
We each disguised a turkey as a book character and wrote about the character's personality and actions in the book we read!

ReplyDeleteI must say that your Pumpkin Bread is divine! When Annsley walked in from school on Friday, I rushed to the door to find out what that delicious sweet smell was. I saw her place what looked like a turkey on the counter, but couldn't imagine how a turkey could smell so much like cake! Then at dinner time, they cut open the turkey and sure enough inside was a delicious looking treat. I sat there wagging my tail as the whole family ate and then as luck would have it, the baby dropped a large chunk of orange colored bread onto the floor. I rushed over and took a sniff. Mmmmm....I gobbled it up. It was the perfect mix of pumpkin, cinnamon, and sugar. I am very impressed with this project and was wondering if you might consider adding some steak next time?

ReplyDeleteI think that all the special projects that we worked on were cool. My favorite activity was making pumpkin bread.
This Thanksgiving my family will go to my grandparent’s house, where we will eat mashed potatoes, turkey, salad, and biscuits. Thanksgiving will be a little different this year because we will celebrate Hanukkah too.
I am thankful for my mom, dad, sister, and grandparents. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.

ReplyDeleteI think that these projects we did were a blast! I will celebrate Thanksgiving by going to my cousins' house with Grace (who was in Mrs. Ranney's class), Benett and Audrey. I am most thankful for my house, my family, and my friends. I am so excited for Thanksgiving! Did you know this year it overlaps with Hanukkah so people are calling it Thanksgivikkah? I think we will bring sweet potato latkes with cranberry sauce to our feast.
Is anyone else having Thanksgivikkah? I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My family is also going to be with me, and my aunt and uncle are flying in from Connecticut and my grammy and grampy came in from Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This year Thanksgiving is going to be at my house.
Did you know the last time this happened was in 1888.

Hello Class, We had an awesome Thanksgiving. Lucas' dad made a great turkey with yummy fixings. Sybil made great pies and our family was together. Uncle Brett and Aunt Nadia flew in from Connecticut and Grammy and Grampy drove from Santa fe. We drove from snow to sunny California. I hope you all had a great turkey dinner.

ReplyDeleteI must say that I really liked to make the pumpkin bread. Especially I enjoyed stirring the dry ingredients.
I am most thankful for having a warm and incredible family. On Thanksgiving day, my brother joined to celebrate the Thanksgiving feast. We ate Korean BBQ and my pumpkin bread for dessert. The day after Thanksgiving my mom and I went to the movie theater. The movie was terrific and I liked the theme songs.

ReplyDeleteOn December 22nd, I'll be going to Hawaii with my aunt, brother, and grandma. It will be my first time and I am so excited.
First, we will go to LAX airport and then we will go on the airplane to get to Hawaii. The plane ride is a five hour trip. When we are on the airplane, we will have breakfast and lunch.
Second, we will land in Hawaii. It will be in the afternoon and sunny outside. We will go to our rental house, it is really big and cozy. When we come inside, I will read my book called, 100 Most Dangerous Creatures.
On the last day of our trip, we will be packing and preparing for our plane ride back home. We will have our lunch and dinner on the plane before we land to LAX airport.
