  1. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

My favorite thing in the Winter Olympics is Snowboarding. When I was watching the Snowboarding, I saw the fantastic, unstoppable, and amazing Shaun White win the gold medal. He won because he jumped higher than my house, and I knew Shaun would win at the start. Also Shaun is from the U.S.A. Shaun has never gotten a silver or the bronze medal, he has only won the gold medal. When I watched him get his gold medal I felt inspired to work hard and maybe get to the Olympics myself. Also Shaun won in day 7 of the Olympics. I love watching the amazing Olympics!

    Best,
    Andy

  2. Dear Mrs.Ranney,

I saw the incredible Lindsey Vonn win the gold medal in the Winter Olympics. Her event is Women's Downhill Skiing. Lindsey was struggling with a painful shin injury which made it very difficult to race. She fought the pain and took on a very steep and fast race course. She was the fastest woman in the Downhill event, and she won the gold medal. The United States is very lucky and proud to have an athlete like Lindsey Vonn.
    I love the Winter Olympics!

    Your Student,
    Carson

  3. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

I also saw the fantastic Olympics at my house. The unstoppable Shaun White won an amazing gold medal, and no one could beat his extremely high score of 46.8. At the end, Shaun White beat his own record with a score of 48.8. When he won the medal, he was so excited! I love watching the exciting Olympics!!!

    Best,
    Cameron

  4. Dear Mrs. Ranney,

Thank you for implementing a classroom blog this year. It's a terrific resource for teaching our children life long skills, that asks them to blend sports, writing and technology into an exciting and infectious activity.

It's a great opportunity for us parents to become part of the teaching/learning process.

    Thank you again,

    Matt S. (Andrew's father)

A lot of times I wish that I could be one of the people skating. I love the Olympics and I can't wait to see more of it.
